One Year Anniversary

Tomorrow is our first anniversary. It has been a great year. It wasn't a hard year like people had said it might be. I think it was because my husband is great. He isn't afraid to clean and cook and do dishes. He actually kind of likes it. I have been especially grateful for that since I have been pregnant. Sometimes when we come home from work I am hungry, but to tired to make dinner, so he makes it for me. We have been trying to form good habits and spend time together. Those too have attributed to a great year. Thanks for the poem you wrote for me to celebrate our first year sweetheart.
I am posting pics from our wedding to celebrate our first year, since I didn't post picks last year. Images By Shannon comes highly recommended from us.

check off the bucket list

River Rafting on the Salmon River. I was able to mark river rafting off my bucket list a couple weeks ago.
It was mine and Rusty's first time river rafting. We took the long journey to Riggins with 2 of my greatest friends, Jill and Niki, and their husbands. We spent a day on the river with Alan as our guide and the best one ever.
Thanks guys for the great time. I am now a lover of river rafting and highly recommend the Salmon River.

I'm Proud to be an American

To celebrate the 4th of July we headed to Washington DC with some friends and had a blast. We visited the monuments on a bus tour and saw the changing of the guard at Arlington Cemetery and enjoyed a day there. To see the 4th fireworks show we had to claim a spot on the hill behind Washington Monument 5 hours before the show. While waiting we got rained on a few times. The fireworks show was great. All the firesworks seemed extra big.

Thanks Sasha, Josh, Mildred, Tehra and Andrew for the great time.

Rusty enjoyed a little debate with this guy who has been across the street from the White House since 1981. A little fun fact: Rusty loves politics and would like to be a Senator some day. So vote for him when he runs!!!

I loved Mount Vernon

I am excited to visit DC again someday. There are so many other things I want to see and do. So many people told me before we left that you can't see everything in one trip, I found out that is true.

Wasatch Back Relay TEAM ALOHA

Last weekend Rusty and I did the Wasatch Back. I was the team captain so everyone on the team were people that I think are way cool. Most of them were my cousins. We also had my little bro, mom and dad, and my friend Nat and her husband.

The Wasatch Back is a 12 team relay from Logan to Park City that take about 24 hours to do. The runs vary in difficulty, but in the middle of the day with the scorching sun I think every run is hard. We slept on Friday night on the grass at a high school along the way for about 2.5 hours from like 4-6 am.

It is a blast. A great bonding experience and chance to work as a team.
My last run-up hill-the whole time I was thinking " I am almost done"

Gobblin Valley Rocks

Kind of old stuff, but oh well. Rusty and I, to celebrate my graduation, went to Gobblin Valley that weekend. I highly recommend this place to all. Milli you would love it. It is a cool place to explore and climb arond on rock. Right outside of Gobbin Valley is a hike called Little Wild Horse. It is a 9 mile loop. but we chose to hike in for a mile then turn back becasue of time. It is beautiful and full of awesome slot canyons.

Graduation

I finished school in December and I walked this last week for graduation. It was a lot of fun. Cute Rusty was there to support me and it was so cute to see how proud he was. The main speaker was Mario Capecchi. In his speech he challenges the student to think of way they can change the world. I want to change the world by helping teenage girls understand their self worth. Yesterday was the birthday of my dear friend Melea who commited suicide right after her 19th birthday. Yesterday would have been her 22nd birthday. I loved that girl to peices. She definatly suffered inside, but she was who I called or wanted to talk to when I needed to smile. I want to help girls know they are important and loved. Melea knew she was loved, but I dont think she thought she was important.

I got my degree from the University of Utah in Speech Communication with and emphasis in Organizational Comm and a minor in business. Yeah for me!

I appriciated those who came out support me: Rusty, my brothers and sister, parents and grandparents

I have a question

Everyone is starting to receive their stimulus package money this month. People are going to go out and buy products most likely made in China so aren't we just helping their economy? that is charitable of us!
